How long do the corals need to grow in the nursery?

The staghorn coral fragments in our nursery will be taken care of for approximately nine months. After nine months the fragments have grown large enough to survive on the reef. At this point they will be outplanted on bamboo structures that will support the coral for 2 years before it dissolves and the corasl can survive on their own.

What do I get when I adopt a coral?

When you adopt a coral you are a proud (symbolic) parent of one of our fragments. Your coral will be posted on the wall of the coral gallery and you get to give your coral its own name. Through our newsletter you will receive updates on the growth of your coral. And once the fragment is large enough to outplant, you will get updated too.
The adoption program is a great way for you to support our goals and efforts to restore the reef and to educate the community about the wonders of the ocean. Our adopt a coral program is also a great present for eco friendly people.

How do I join the volunteer program?

If you want to join our volunteer program, you need to have a dive certificate and be at least 10 years old.  If you do not have a dive certificate yet, our partnering dive school at Blue Bay Beach offers courses for a reduced price.
If you do have a diver's license, all you need to do is sign up for the coral restoration course and after completion you are able to join our volunteer team!

Do you sell merchandise?

It is within our short term plans to begin selling merchandise in our (online) store. Sign up to our newsletter and be one of the first people to be notified when we start.
